Information for exam season

Dear parents/carers

From Monday 16th May, exams will be running in different subjects until late June. A copy of the full timetable of exams can be found via a link at the top of our website https://post16.clf.uk/

Where to go

Students should meet outside the Sports Hall at 8:40 am for morning exams and 1:10 for exams starting in the afternoon.
Students with access arrangements should go to the Hub and students allocated to the Separate Venue should wait downstairs in the Eye until collected.
Students will need to plan their journeys in order to be on time
Students must be in absolute silence as soon as they enter the exam room.
They must sit in their allocated seat (there will be a list in the lobby of the Eye if they are unsure).
Students should not leave their seats unless with permission from an exam invigilator.

What to bring

* ID badge
* Equipment in a clear pencil case
* Clear bottle of water with no label
* Phones and watches should NOT be brought or must be switched off and left in bags

What to do if running late

Ensure that either yourself or the student has rung the absence line on 0117 9882525 to let us know that you are on the way
Students should then go straight to the Eye to let a member of staff know that they have arrived.

What to do if ill

Parents and carers should contact the absence line on 0117 9882525 as early as possible.
If Covid is suspected then evidence of a test would support an application for Special Consideration. Students should NOT miss exams because someone else in their house has Covid.
For other illnesses, a doctor’s note would support an application for Special Consideration.

These are formal exams with strict rules to make sure everyone has a fair chance. This means students must be on time, follow all instructions given on the day and if so unwell they cannot attend, parents must contact Post 16 on the normal absence line 0117 9882525 as early as possible on the day of the exam.

We’d like to wish all our students the best of luck and let them know that Post 16 staff will be here for advice, a quiet chat or just to cheer them along throughout the coming weeks!

Warm wishes
The Post 16 team
