Update from Post 16

Dear parents and carers,

We are writing to share some updates with you.

Firstly, we wanted to say how proud we are of all our students: five of our students have sat exams for Oxbridge entry and collectively our students sat 915 mock exam papers in just one week.
They put a huge amount of work into the preparation for these exams and did themselves and us proud with their dedication and mature behaviour.

Students also observed 2 minutes silence on Monday to reflect on casualties of war and to honour those who have suffered. They also participated in a moving assembly where they read some beautiful readings. We are proud of the diversity within our community and the tolerance and respect that the show for each other and for their differences.

Since our last update, we have unfortunately had 3 students and 1 staff member test positive for Covid-19. Close contacts have been informed, but this is a very, very low number. We are confident that this is partly due to the rigour with which students and staff are following our protocols.

Some families with a household member who has been classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable have contacted us with questions. Please find attached a letter with further information and details for these households.

Finally, for those who are celebrating we would like to say Happy Diwali!

With best wishes,

The Post 16 Team
