Warm Weather Forecast

Dear Parents and Carers,

With some hot weather forecast for tomorrow, we would like to ask you to remind students tomorrow to make sure that they bring a bottle of water with them to keep themselves hydrated throughout the day.
We also recommend applying One a Day sun cream before leaving home.

We would also like to remind students of our dress code:

DRESS CODE

We understand that students are individuals, and feel that it is important to allow you to feel entitled to individuality, and to express this through your choices about your appearance.  However, we are also very serious about educating you and preparing you for the world of work, and the formal expectations that this can bring.  For this reason we have the following expectations.

You are expected to wear clothes appropriate for study and learning.  No overly revealing or extreme styles of fashion are allowed, or any clothing with offensive messages, either through words logos or images.  Jewellery and make up is allowed as long as health and safety conditions are met, footwear need to follow health and safety too . On occasions we may ask you to dress in a more formal manner, for example at Open Evenings, or if representing the school on official business.  No hats or hoods are to be worn inside school buildings.

If CLF Post 16 feel that you are dressed in a way that doesn’t meet these requirements, we will discuss the issue with you, and agree appropriate changes in order to meet the requirements.

Please do encourage your young people to be aware of this as they select clothing for warmer weather.

We hope that you enjoy the sunshine and have a restful weekend when it comes!

Warm wishes,
The Post 16 team
