Academy Ethos & Vision

We are proud to introduce our new school Winterstoke Hundred Academy (WHA) to you and to our community. We are named after the historic parish of Weston-super-Mare and want to develop and establish a close relationship with the local community, our parents and our students.

Winterstoke Hundred Academy is an academy for 11 to 19 year olds and will be opening September 2020 for Year 7 and Year 12 students. Each year group will have a maximum of 150 students and 200 in the sixth form. With the other four secondary schools of between 180-300+ in each year group, as a medium sized school, we are unique in Weston. We want to deliver an inclusive and family based character that will appeal to parents, carers and learners.

We will support our students to find their area of interest and expertise and to nurture and develop a concept we are calling ‘Grow Your Talents’. New students joining in September will have a unique opportunity to be part of a brand new exceptional learning environment in state-of-the-art facilities.

We are really excited about the potential our new school can bring to our learners.
