Apprenticeships

Within the CLF Post 16, we have seen a significant rise in the popularity of apprenticeships from students, and the number of students applying for them.

Good quality level 3 or 4 apprenticeships are an ideal next step for students, post A-levels, to continue their training and investment in their career.

Apprenticeships become available throughout the year, so students will need to be making preparations for their applications to ensure they have an opportunity for consideration.

Most apprenticeships can be found advertised on the national government and local council websites, or on individual company advertisements:

CLF Post 16 invests greatly in advice and guidance for students’ futures.  Students are encouraged to attend a range of events and guidance meetings such as:

  • Career Drop-down Days, Meet the Employer Events, Company Seminars, Mock interviews.
  • Pop-up shops or Company Visits related to an industry or career path.
  • Seminar workshops of a chosen interest or career (Renishaw Engineering or NHS Apprenticeships.)
  • Careers Officer Meetings 1:1 to discuss an action plan and career steps.

Whether you choose an apprenticeship route, employment or University, CLF Post 16 is committed to bringing you guidance, support and opportunities available to all students, as you choose your next steps.
