CLF Post 16 & John Cabot Careers Fair
The CLF Post 16 and John Cabot Academy staged a joint careers fair at John Cabot Academy. Over 900 students took part in this careers fair from Years 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
Staged during the thirteenth national apprenticeship week, this event showcased various employment and training opportunities that included, apprenticeships, the armed forces, emergency services and higher education providers, plus many more. Employers and higher education providers were on hand to share their insights on career progression, opportunities and answer any questions.
The aim of the event is to inspire students and talk specifically about apprenticeships and the types of apprenticeships available to them, and to gain a real understanding of the thousands of different skills and roles available to them in the future.
Kate Knight, CLF Post 16, said, “Events like these mean a lot to me. I want students to know as much as possible about careers and higher education so that the choices they make are the best informed and the right outcome for students, both now and in the future.”
