P16 Updates

Dear parents/carers,

It’s been a fantastic week here at Post 16. Wednesday saw over 100 students attending the Autumn Bristol Fair by UK University and Apprenticeship Search, talking to a multitude of university and apprenticeship providers. On Thursday, our Year 13 Drama students put on a fantastic performance as part of their coursework and today our students and staff wore yellow and donated to Young Minds as we discussed Mental Health and how it can be positively supported.

Parent Communications

We are aware some system issues mean that some parents may have missed out on some of our communications and we are delighted that this has now been sorted. You can find all past communication on our website using this link: https://post16.clf.uk/letters/

We would appreciate if you could take five minutes to share with us your thoughts and feedback on our communications by filling in this short survey: survey

Parent Representation

We really value our partnership with our parents and carers as we work together to support our students.

There are many ways that you can become involved in the work that we do: through coming to our regular events, taking up opportunities for questions and answers with our Principal Ms Cooper or simply reading our letters as you are doing now and passing on messages to our wider community.

There is also the opportunity for one of our parents to represent the parent body on our Academy Council. The Academy Council meets once a term to review Post 16’s performance and offer support, challenge and suggestions to the Senior Leadership Team. It has representatives from our staff, student and parent body. We are currently looking for volunteers to stand as representatives for our Academy Council. If you are interested, email [email protected]  with a short summary of why you are interested in the role and what skills you would bring to the table. We will shortly present all candidates to parents for a vote to allow you to select your representative.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0117 9882525.

Warm wishes,

The Post 16 team
