P16 Updates and Celebrations
Dear parent/carers,
It has been a delight for us to welcome our students back to Post 16 this term.
There has been a lot to celebrate!
Eid-al Fitr
We are aware that many Muslim families are looking forward to Eid celebrations on Sunday 1st May or Monday 2nd May.
Eid Mubarak to all our families celebrating!
We look forward to welcoming your young people back to school on Tuesday 3rd May and good luck for those of you with an exam.
Dark Angels World Champions
Huge congratulations to our students and staff who are part of the Dark Angels dance team. They were crowned World Champions again this week in America across 4 of their Dance teams, amazing achievement, and a result of a lot of dedication and hard work from our students. We are very proud of you all!
Post 16 Women’s Basketball Academy
Congratulations too to our fantastic players in the Post 16 Women’s Basketball Academy for their amazing 74-21 win against Holy Trinity Sussex’s Storm. Storm have a fearsome reputation but you did us proud. Well done!
Prom
Last but not least we are looking forward to marking the two years that the Year 13s have spent with us at Prom on Thursday 12th May in the eye from 6pm – 9pm. Students will have received full information and we look forward to giving them the opportunity to celebrating their amazing achievements.
End of Year for Year 13s
Please note that students in Year 13 will need to continue to attend their subject lessons, to get every bit of support from their teachers before their exams. The support is also important until they too complete all coursework and assignments. Yr 13 official leaving date will be the 29th June, but we anticipate most students will finish before that date and will need to complete their leavers form and give this to their Head of College for final sign off as they leave over the coming 6 weeks.
Students have received their personalised exam timetables today.
Warm wishes,
The Post 16 team
