CLF Post 16 students explore Biology
Post 16 A-level Biology students are exploring cells using microscopes today.
This exploration helps students develop essential scientific skills, such as critical thinking, data analysis, and attention to detail, all while igniting their passion for biological sciences.
This is vital knowledge for these students as many are intending to go on to study medicine at university.
With dedicated support for early applicants, and partnerships with local universities, we’re excited to know that we have future medics in our classes.
They have the unique opportunity to observe, identify, and analyse a variety of cell types under microscopes, gaining firsthand insight into cell structure and function. This exploration helps students develop essential scientific skills, such as critical thinking, data analysis, and attention to detail, all while igniting their passion for biological sciences.
Alison Ashman, Vice Principal at CLF Post 16, said: “Our Post-16 biology students are enthusiastically engaging with cellular biology, and it’s wonderful to see them apply their knowledge to real-world examples.
“Understanding the complexity of cells lays the foundation for more advanced studies in biochemistry, genetics, and medical sciences, which many of our students are aspiring to pursue.”
