Post 16 geography students conduct urban fieldwork

Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) Post 16 geography students took full advantage of the recent good weather to participate in an urban fieldwork experience in the local area.

This trip marked the first of many fieldwork opportunities that the students will engage in throughout their geography studies.

The small class sizes within the Post 16 program enabled students to easily step outside the classroom and explore real-world geographical concepts in the local environment.

By investigating urban landscapes and patterns, students are able to deepen their understanding of key topics and develop essential fieldwork skills.

A spokesperson said: “These hands-on experiences form a core part of the geography curriculum at CLF, giving students practical exposure to the subject, which enhances their learning and prepares them for future academic pursuits and careers in geography and related fields.”
