Facilities

CLF Post 16 is a unique Further Education provision situated at John Cabot Academy and Bristol Brunel Academy.

The Eye, a purpose-built, dedicated Post 16 building, occupies a lovely position at the entrance to the main John Cabot Academy site, overlooking grassy banks, sports courts and an apple orchard. It houses the bright and airy Post 16 common room and a large kitchen for students’ use.  A dance studio and fitness suite share the lower level along with a quiet study area.

Post 16 Central is our new classroom facilities, offering up-to-date computer suites and large, bright, airy classrooms with the latest technology for students to access. Students also enjoy well-appointed specialist classrooms, including science labs, a Design Centre for engineering and product design and several IT suites.

The Post 16 Hub, situated slightly to the back of the main buildings, provides a quiet location for students with SEND or for 1-2-1 meetings, a space for our very own counsellor as well as our prayer room which is open to students of all faiths and none.

Bristol Brunel Academy, less than a mile away, boasts excellent sporting facilities with indoor and outdoor courts, a large sports field, MUGA all-weather courts and a fitness suite.  Some of our students are based here, offering a more intimate approach to classrooms as well as access to the beautiful Dance Studio.

Both sites have excellent catering facilities offering a range of drinks and hot and cold food. We are located close to local centres with good access to shops and facilities and close to many bus routes.
