Dear parents and carers,

INSET

A reminder that Wednesday is an INSET day for staff training. There will therefore be no lessons on this day.

Covid-19 update

We are currently seeing a rise in Covid cases within the local community and within our staff and student body.
As a precaution, we would recommend that students wear a mask in busy spaces if they wish to.
We are maintaining all of our Covid measures, which include ventilation and hand and touch-point hygiene.

If your young person experiences Covid-19 symptoms, they should book a PCR test. If they think that you may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive but do not have symptoms themselves then they should take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT or LFD as they are known). If they do test positive, please see this helpful infographic for understanding when they can return before the 10 days. If you cannot view the infographic, please visit our website to see this letter here: Online Letter

Covid tests will no longer be provided by the government from the end of the month but are currently still available from pharmacies and online. We would recommend obtaining some before tests are no longer available.

During this time of high staff absence, we will endeavour to run all lessons with a subject specialist and when that is not possible to cover lessons in the room. However, on some rare occasions students may be asked to work independently, either from home or from the Eye. Work will be provided and staff will be onsite in the Eye should students require this. We will keep you informed if your young person is affected by this at all.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Warm wishes,

The Post 16 team
