Curriculum

As a student of GCSE resit Maths, you will gain confidence and fluency in, and a positive attitude towards, mathematics. You will become more positive about your use of fundamental mathematical knowledge and skills. You will convey your confidence in using mathematics through demonstrating a sound grasp of mathematical knowledge and skills and applying it to solve mathematical problems. You will gain an understanding of the underpinning skills and basics of mathematical skills, appropriate to the level, and develop the ability to apply mathematical thinking to solve simple problems in familiar real world situations.

Assessment

Exam board AQA.

Assessment is in the form of three exams at the end of the course. Each exam is 90 minutes long and paper 1 is non-calculator whereas paper 2 and 3 are calculator papers.
