CLF Post 16 students step up for community action day
For the third consecutive year, students from Cabot Learning Federation’s (CLF) Post 16 have stepped out of the classroom and into their communities for the annual Community Action Day.
Over 100 enthusiastic Year 12 students volunteered their time and energy to support a wide range of local organisations, making a positive impact across the region.
The Community Action Day is a hallmark event in the CLF Post 16 calendar, giving students a valuable opportunity to develop teamwork and leadership skills while contributing meaningfully to society.

This year’s volunteering efforts saw students take part in activities at local parks, food banks, community gardens, primary schools, church groups, and local businesses.
From litter picking and planting flowers to organising activities for children and sorting donations for families in need, the students’ dedication and hard work were evident across all locations.
“This day is all about giving back and helping students understand the value of community,” said Jeanine Preece. “It’s inspiring to see our students so engaged and eager to make a positive impact.”
CLF Post 16 remains dedicated to nurturing students who are not only academically strong but also socially engaged and community minded.
