Level 3 Mathematical Studies

Curriculum

As a student of Maths you will develop your knowledge, reasoning and analytical skills and the ability to solve problems through a variety of different lessons.

You will have success in all Maths lessons you attend and will have many lightbulb moments as you discover new ideas and understanding of those new ideas.

You will develop a greater understanding of the use of Maths in the wider world and will understand how this may relate to you in your future career.

Progression

Courses involving the use of data, scientific or financial elements including: computing, education, health, engineering, robotics and statistics.

Entry Requirements

Students need to have achieved four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including Grade 4 Maths.

Assessment

The Exam Board is AQA.
100% examination.

Opportunities for work related activities

University taster sessions and working with companies such as banks on finance projects. Working with current data from a range of sources and looking at mathematical aspects of topical issues.
