Mock Exams

Friday, 30 January 2026

Dear Parent/Carer

2026 Spring Pre Public Exams (Mock) arrangements Tuesday 24th February – Friday 6th March

Exams starting on 24th February will involve many but not ALL students so it is important students check their individual exam timetable which has been emailed to them, and to parents this week. In addition, the Student Portal (Bromcom) will show the room and seat number where they will be taking the exam.

Parents & Carers can also see this by using the free ‘My Child At School’ (MCAS app). MCAS allows you to see student exam timetables, attendance data, homework and is an easy, user-friendly way to sign up to our Parents Evenings. If you require further assistance in setting up MCAS please email info@p16.clf.uk

Some reminders for the CLF Post 16 Exam arrangements:

  • Students need to arrive at least 15 minutes before the exams start, so by 8.45 am and 12.45 pm in the morning and afternoon. It is important students know their seat row and number.
  • Students wait in the Eye to be called down to the Sports Hall with staff.
  • Students with access arrangements should wait in the Kitchen area of the Eye and will be taken to their room by one of the inclusion team.
  • All students MUST wear their Identification badges to gain access into their exam and check all the exam regulations.

Parents can support by checking the exam TT, check the revision materials from teachers and help prepare a revision timetable to follow.

If a student is unwell and unable to sit their exam (this would need to be a serious illness) we ask that parents contact Post 16 on the normal absence line 0117 9882525 before the start of the exam. Students will need to attend all lessons as norma when not in an exam.

Students taking their final exams this summer will need to be available until Wednesday 24th June 2026 (contingency day). This date can be used in case any exams have to be postponed and students need to remain available until that date, so please do not book any holidays until at least 25th June!  Thank you for supporting us and them in preparing for the forthcoming exams and we look forward to making this a positive and successful experience that will help develop the confidence and help prepare them for the future.

 Yours faithfully
