NOVEMBER GCSE MATHS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE RE-SITS

Dear Parent/Carer  

Please see below instructions for parents/carers regarding the arrangements for student entries to re-sit their GCSE Maths or English Language exams, with the AQA exam board in November 2025. 

We recommend that students who previously achieved a Grade 3 in either of these subjects should enter for the re-sit.  We will only enter students to take the exam once they have paid for the entry and completed fully the resit request form.  

The entry and payment can be made at any time up until Wednesday 24th September 2025. 

Actions required are:  

You must complete point 1 and 2 for the entry to be made:  

1. Payment of the resit. The costs are GCSE English Language £51.20 and GCSE Maths £51.20.
2. Complete the attached Form to request the exam entry to be made. 
3. Students who have completed a bursary application can claim for funding towards this entry. 
4. PAYMENT 

Payment for the entry can be made by cash or card at the Exams Office – TG16. Please note, if paying in cash we do not have access to change, therefore the exact amount will be required. 

2. COMPLETE THE FORM TO REQUEST EXAM ENTRIES ARE MADE Bring the completed form along with your payment; the form must be fully completed and signed. Please note all entries will be made through the Exam board AQA
3. BURSARY Students need to apply for bursary on the online system –https://clfpost16bursary.applicaa.com/1 

Once bursary has been approved, students can make a claim for support with these fees. The level of support will depend on the amount of bursary that has been agreed which varies by student.
