Return to study – Friday 26th June

Dear Parents/Carers and Students
After carefully considering information from the Met Office and the DfE, we have taken the decision to open as planned tomorrow, Friday 26th June.
Temperatures are forecast to fall by Friday and are expected to be significantly cooler than earlier this week. The current forecast is a high of 27 degrees. However, we recognise the potential risks associated with sustained higher temperatures over recent days, and for this reason we will be implementing a number of additional control measures to mitigate these:
  • All lessons and exams will be re-roomed to central building – where there is air conditioning.
  • We will follow ventilation procedures to ensure that the Eye is kept as cool as possible.
Students should bring a re-fillable water bottle to keep hydrated throughout the day, and wear light, loose clothing and sun cream.
We look forward to welcoming students back.
Kind regards
