Wellbeing Support Letter
26 February 2026
Dear Parent/Carer,
At CLF Post 16, we know that wellbeing is the foundation for success — both for our young people and for the staff who support them. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.
We are pleased to share with you our Wellbeing Support Pathway, which sets out the steps we take to look after both students and staff. The pathway follows a graduated approach:
- Universal support available to all (such as PSHE, tutor check-ins, wellbeing resources, and staff CPD).
- Targeted support for those who may need some extra help (e.g. mentoring, triage conversations, wellbeing champions).
- Specialist support including access to school counsellors, mental health first aiders, SEND/pastoral plans for students, or Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health for staff.
- External support where higher levels of care are needed, with referrals to CAMHS, GPs, NHS Talking Therapies, and charities such as Kooth and Mind.
We recognise that parents and carers are vital partners in supporting our young people. If you ever have concerns about your child’s wellbeing, please do not hesitate to contact their Tutor or our Safeguarding Lead.
Together, we can ensure that our school community continues to be a place of safety, respect, and growth for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Lana Crosbie
